Guest Terms & Info
Welcome
Thank you for being a guest on the Subspace Exploration Project. We are excited to have a chance to talk with you and welcome the perspective that you bring.
In today’s media landscape we do our best to captivate audience members with both audio & video content. Either as primary or bonus content we will want to capture, produce, & publish video of these sessions that portray you in the most flattering way possible. Let us know if there are any complications or limitations when it comes to filming or distribution of such materials.
Scheduling
We know your time is valuable and want to honor that. When we set aside an hour we will aim to record for about 40 minutes and coordinate any additional details after we’re done filming/recording. For face to face interviews we will require about 20 minutes setup and 10-15 minutes teardown.
We are based in Eugene, Oregon, USA which means we’re on Pacific Standard Time. If you need to reschedule, delay, or postpone our interview, try to give us as much notice as you can so that we can do our best to accommodate.
Publishing & Promotion
If not already scheduled, within a few days of recording we will notify you as to when we will publish/broadcast your episode.
When your episode posts it will be listed on YouTube, our website, and most audio podcast platforms.
We will post stills from the interview itself, pictures you provide, and video excerpts of the episode on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Fetlife (if you have provided a Fet profile to list), in the days and weeks following publication. We will tag you wherever you provide profile info for. We encourage you to post and promote the links to the episode on your profiles at various times.
If there are any limitations to where or how your episode would need to be distributed or promoted, provide us with a detailed notification before the time of recording.
We look forward to having you on the show!
Guest Provided Info
It is important to me that our audience gets a chance to get to know you and understand your perspective.
Before we hold the interview we ask that our guests provide us with the following:
Name/Alias
Prefered Pronouns
(minimum) 1 sentence Bio
Website(s)
Social Media Links
Upcoming events you want to promote
1-3 high resolution promotional photos
The Interview
Make sure you have Chrome or Edge installed, as Riverside works with these platforms. You will be sent a Riverside Studio Link: making sure Riverside works in advance will streamline our chat. Riverside does have a Smartphone App option if you encounter too many issues with your desktop configuration.
For the interview interview we want to make sure of a few things:
Light - Lighting is adequate
Mic - Your microphone is positioned correctly, near you
Headphones - You wear earbuds or headphones to eliminate any feedback
Camera - Your camera works, is stable (preferably a 1080p or better webcam)
Quiet - Your recording space is quiet (fans, air conditioners, are turned off)
Post-Interview !! Vital !!
Riverside records our individual audio & video as separate files on our devices, then uploads them to the Riverside Cloud. After we stop recording it can take several minutes for these files to upload to the system. You should see a meter that shows the progress of the upload and then an upload success message.
